Recently, a video is going viral on social media where a woman and her friend had a distressing encounter with an Ola autorickshaw driver in Bengaluru after she booked two autos for a quicker journey but later cancelled one.

Ola auto driver followed Bengaluru woman
On Wednesday, September 5, during peak hours, the woman booked two autos through Ola.
After getting into the first one, she canceled the second ride.
“The other auto driver followed us, furious. Despite explaining the situation, he started shouting and hurling abuses,” she posted on X.
Abused & made derogatory comments
“The driver went on to verbally abuse us and make derogatory comments. I began recording, which enraged him further. When I mentioned reporting him, he challenged me, showing no fear of consequences,” she further said.
The woman described the situation, stating, “Our only fault was booking two autos to ensure my friend didn’t miss her class. In Bangalore, autos often cancel rides or demand extra money. The argument could have been tolerated, but the driver’s threats and assault crossed a line.”
‘Tera baap deta hain kya gas ke paise’
When the woman asked the agitated Ola auto driver why he was shouting, he furiously responded, “Tera baap deta hain kya gas ke paise? (Does your father pay me for the gas?)”.
The woman further said that she has never felt so unsafe in Bangalore, she added that the situation escalated when the driver attempted to snatch her phone.
