This Push-Pull technology makes the trainset more fast. By synchronising the locomotives at both ends, faster acceleration is made possible, increasing operational flexibility and efficiency and cutting down on the amount of time it takes to go between the two stations. By eliminating the need to connect or detach bankers in the ghat area, this technique saves time and reduces the length of the trip.
India’s first Push-Pull train operates between Mumbai and Delhi, the 22221/22222 CSMT-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express.
With its Push-Pull technology, this train is the first of its type in India and cuts down on travel time, taking only 18 hours to get from Delhi to Mumbai.
Kalyan, Nashik Road, Jalgaon, Bhusaval, Bhopal, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, Gwalior, and Agra Cantt are among the roughly eight stations along the route.
This famous Rajdhani Express, which sets new benchmarks for operational excellence while providing passengers with speed, comfort, and dependability, is a symbol of Indian Railways’ advancement.
The CSMT-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express is the country’s first “Push-Pull” Rajdhani Express train, and it connects Delhi and Mumbai. Another significant milestone in railway history, this train covers 1543 kilometres in 17 hours and 55 minutes and was a crucial project supporting the government’s “Mission Raftar.” With enhanced facilities like comfort, speed, and dependability, this railway is the pinnacle of Indian Railways’ progress, demonstrating the increased effectiveness and performance of Indian Railways. Six years of successful operation have just been celebrated by this train.
It departs from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Mumbai, at 16:00 hrs daily and reaches Hazrat Nizamuddin at 09:55 hrs. On its return journey, the train leaves Hazrat Nizamuddin at 16:55 hrs and arrives in Mumbai at 11:15 hrs the next day.
