While expressing confidence over his party’s performance in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the differences between the “Congress model” and the “BJP model”.
The prime minister stated that while Congress was focusing on strengthening its family when it was in power, his government focused on strengthening the country.
During an interview with Hindustan, PM Modi expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win a historic third term in general elections that are scheduled to begin next week.
He went on to highlight his administration’s record for 10 years and explained how it is better than the “congress model”.
BJP Model vs Congress Model
During the interview, the Prime Minister emphasised that this is the first time the people of the country can analyse and compare both administrations.
“The people of India are seeing that today our country is the fifth largest and fastest growing economy in the world. Today, India has the third-largest startup ecosystem in the world. India’s space mission, “Make in India” campaign and unprecedented expansion of infrastructure are being discussed all over the world,” the prime minister averred.
“Congress also ran the government with full majority for five to six decades. It has been only a decade since the BJP government has been in power with an absolute majority.”
“When their government had a full majority, they remained busy strengthening their families. Today when we have a government with a full majority, our priority is to strengthen the country. Villages, the poor, farmers and the middle class have to be empowered. Not only the country but the world is seeing the difference between the two,” he added.
PM Modi mentioned that his administration’s report card for 10 years indicates that BJP always fulfils its promises.“Now, we are going to the masses with our vision of a developed India by 2047,” he said.
PM Modi went on to underline his government’s vision for India and his administration’s record in eradicating poverty, expanding hygiene and providing housing for the poor. “And what you have witnessed in the last 10 years is just the trailer. A lot more work has to be done. We have to take the country far ahead,” he concluded.
