India is set to celebrate Republic Day with great enthusiasm on January 26, 2025. The country is looking forward to the spectacular Republic Day Parade, which will take place at Kartavya Path near India Gate in New Delhi.

The Republic Day parade will cover the distance from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate and will showcase various contingents from the Indian Armed Forces and paramilitary forces.

The parade will include tableaux representing various states, highlighting the rich cultural diversity of the nation. This day is celebrated annually to honor the adoption of the Constitution of India on January 26, 1950.

The Constitution of India came into effect on January 26, 1950, establishing India as a democratic republic. The first anniversary of this event was marked on January 26, 1951. This year, India will commemorate 75 years since the adoption of the Constitution.

Counting from 1950 as the inaugural Republic Day, India will celebrate its 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025.

The theme for this year’s Republic Day celebration is ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat aur Vikas’. Each year, the Indian government selects a specific theme for the festivities.

This year’s theme emphasises India’s rich culture and heritage, as well as its progress throughout the years.

For Republic Day 2025, tableaux from 15 states and union territories, including Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Chandigarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Jharkhand, Karnataka, and Madhya Pradesh, will be showcased during the parade at Kartavya Path.

Additionally, 11 contingents from the central government will participate in the grand Republic Day 2025 celebrations.

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is expected to be the chief guest at the 76th Republic Day celebration on January 26, 2025, according to ANI.

While awaiting confirmation, the visit of the newly elected Indonesian president to India is expected to coincide with the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
