Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday participated in a virtual session with global and Indian leaders, including actors Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, as well as industrialists Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, and Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft, during the WAVES Summit Advisory Board meeting.

According to a News 18 report, the discussion centred around innovation, global leadership, India’s cultural and technological impact, and strategies to strengthen the country’s position on the global stage.

The high-profile meeting also featured Bollywood personalities Diljit Dosanjh, Rajnikanth, Ranbir Kapoor, Chiranjeevi, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher and A. R. Rahman.

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Chairperson of Mahindra and Mahindra Anand Mahindra, and other top professionals from India and the world were also part of the meeting.

The WAVES Summit, known for uniting thought leaders from diverse fields, seeks to promote cross-industry collaborations and accelerate India’s growth in the digital and creative economy.

WAVES 2025, organised by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, was aimed at celebrating and enhancing India’s creative and media economy.

As part of the WAVES Summit, taking place from February 5 to 9, 2025, the Ministry is launching the Create in India Challenge, Season 1, featuring various “challenges” designed to encourage innovation and creativity.

The Summit has gathered industry leaders, stakeholders, and innovators from diverse fields. Originally, the Summit was planned to be held alongside the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa in November, according to sources.
