Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday arrived at the ‘Shubh Ashirwad’ function of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s ongoing wedding celebrations. He blessed the newly-married couple on the stage.
A day after the grand wedding of Anant and Radhika, the Ambanis are hosting the ‘Shubh Ashirwad’ ceremony on Saturday. On the third and final day of the celebrations, a reception will be held on Sunday.
Anant is the son of Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani and wife Nita Ambani and Radhika is the daughter of pharmaceutical major Encore Healthcare’s founders Viren Merchant and Shaila Merchant.
In visuals from the wedding venue, Modi is seen walking alongside Mukesh and Nita.
The Anant-Radhika wedding has featured a star-studded guest list that ranges from top Indian politicians to Western politicians and almost the entire A-listers of Bollywood and a number of leading actors and celebrities from the West as well. Among Indian politicians, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attended the wedding. The foreign leaders included former British Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair.
In another set of visuals, Modi was also seen blessing Anant and Radhika on stage.
