More gruesome details have been coming to fore from the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital with the postmortem report revealing deep wound in her private parts caused by “perverted sexuality” and “genital torture”.
The four-page autopsy report also found out that her thyroid cartilage was broken due to strangulation.
Victim’s head was pushed to wall to prevent her from screaming
A report by India Today quoted sources as saying that the victim’s mouth and nose were clamped and her head was pushed against the wall or floor to prevent her from screaming.
“The mouth and throat were constantly pressed to prevent screaming. The throat was strangled to suffocate. The thyroid cartilage broke due to this strangulation,” the postmortem report specified.
The autopsy report also found severe injuries to her lips, belly, fingers and left leg.
Scratch marks on face
There were deep scratch marks on the woman’s face which were believed to be caused by her fingernails, indicating that she was desperately trying to prevent the assault.
The private parts of the woman post-graduate trainee doctor were also bleeding when her body was found in the RG Kar Hospital’s seminar room.
There was bleeding from both her eyes and mouth and deep wounds over the face.
A report by NDTV cited a post-mortem report stating that, the accused in the case, Sanjoy Roy, had struck her with forces that her spectacles broke, causing shards to pierce her eyes.
Roy (33), a civic volunteer, has been arrested on Saturday for the rape and murder of the woman doctor.
He was allegedly addicted to pornography and his mobile phone had several such contents, police said.

Over the years, Roy, who is a trained boxer, got close to a few senior police officers after which he was moved to the Kolkata Police Welfare Board. He was posted to the police outpost at the state-run RG Kar Medical College and Hospital where the crime happened.
During the police probe, it was found that Roy had a history of physically abusing his wives.
Roy’s neighbours said his first wife was from Behala, while the second wife was from Park Circus. “He got married for the third time to a girl from Barrackpore. But that also did not last long. Then he married a girl from the city’s Alipore area,” one of his neighbours said.
