The Union government has appointed Revenue Secretary Sanjay Malhotra as the new Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), according to CNBC-TV18.
Malhotra succeeds Shaktikanta Das as the Governor of RBI, who has held the office since 2018.
Malhotra has been appointed as the Governor of RBI for a tenure of three years from December 11 (Wednesday).
Malhotra is a 1990-batch IAS officer from Rajasthan cadre.
