Today is Reliance Industries founder and its chairman’s father Dhirubhai Ambani’s birthday. Dhirubhai Ambai, who founded world’s one of the largest companies, had a favourite car.

The Cadillac story
The sedan car had three vintage models: Cadillac Escalade, Cadillac CTS and Cadillac STS. General Motors has been making Cadillac cars since 1902 as the premier luxury brand. The brand never sold in India and so Dhirubhai Ambani imported the car for his use.
According to reports, the 1958 model stopped being manufactured before which its last showroom price was Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). The car had a 3249 CC 4-cylinder engine which come with a 65 litre fuel tank. Its mileage was 14 km/ltr on highway and 11km/ltr on urban roads. The car was so expensive that it had a power steering.
Who owns it now?

Balaji first bought this Cadillac from Ambani, and he even used it in a number of his produced films. In one of the movies, the car was even used by the villain character.
