First a case by UPSC now one by the Delhi Police, trainee IAS Puja Khedkar’s trouble seems to be never-ending. Hours after the Union Public Service Commission filed a case against Khedkar, the Delhi Police on Friday booked her under several sections including Forgery, Cheating, IT Act and disability act.
Earlier today, the
UPSC lodged a complaint against the probationer after a detailed and thorough investigation revealed that she “fraudulently” availed attempts beyond the permissible limit under UPSC examination rules by “faking her identity.”
“UPSC has filed a complaint with Delhi Police against Ms. Puja Manorama Dilip Khedkar for misrepresenting and falsifying facts to obtain extra attempts in the UPSC examinations, beyond the prescribed limit. Consequently, a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the law, and investigation has been taken up in Crime Branch,” Delhi Police said.
In the complaint, the UPSC said Puja Khedkar changed her name, father’s and mother’s name, her photograph/ signature, email ID, mobile number and address to a fake identity to appear for the examination.
She has also been barred from taking any future examinations under the commission.

Trainee IAS Puja Khedkar began making headlines after she allegedly installed a beacon in her private car. Following this, reports began pouring in exposing Khedkar’s wrongdoings.
Earlier this week, the Maharashtra government put a hold on Khedkar’s training and asked her to return to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie.
Meanwhile, Khedkar, 34, has alleged a trial by the media after a controversy broke out over her appointment and conduct during her stint in Pune’s collectorate.
Not just Khedkar, but her parents have also been in the eye of the storm. A video of Khedkar’s mother allegedly threatening some persons with a gun over a land dispute in Pune district surfaced last week, making the situation worse for the IAS officer. Her father, at the same time, was suspended twice in extortion cases.
Puja Khedkar has also been facing allegations of misusing the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Persons With Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) quotas.
