TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu took oath as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Janasena’s Pawan Kalyan was sworn in as a minister of the Andhra Pradesh government.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union ministers Amit Shah, JP Nadda and Nitin Gadkari among others. The event was also attended by several celebrities from the film industry including Rajinikanth, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Chiranjeevi.
Naidu became chief minister of then undivided Andhra Pradesh for the first time in 1995 and served two consecutive terms. In 2014 he became the first chief minister of Andhra Pradesh post-bifurcation and served in the post till 2019.
NDA won a landslide victory in the Andhra Pradesh assembly elections by winning 164 out of 175 seats with TDP alone contributing 135 of that share. Meanwhile, Janasena won 21 seats and BJP bagged eight.
Naidu’s cabinet
Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet has 24 ministers including leaders from TDP, Janasena and BJP.
