Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 74th birthday today, adding another year to his long-standing career in public service. Traditionally, his birthday is marked by his dedication to official duties, but it also heralds the beginning of the annual “Seva Parv” festival organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

This event highlights the Prime Minister’s ongoing commitment to public welfare and his philosophy of service to humanity.

Upon arriving at Bhubaneswar airport, PM Modi will visit the Gadakana slum area near Sainik School, as confirmed by Bhubaneswar Police Commissioner Sanjeev Panda. During his visit, he will interact with beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana, which is his government most popular scheme on affordable housing and support for underprivileged communities.

Following this, the Prime Minister will proceed to Janata Maidan to officially launch the Subhadra Yojana. This scheme will provide Rs 10,000 annually to over one crore poor women in two instalments for five years. Named after Goddess Subhadra, the sister of Lord Jagannath, the initiative was a significant promise in the BJP’s Odisha election manifesto.

In addition to the welfare schemes, PM Modi will unveil railway projects worth Rs 2,871 crore and highway infrastructure projects valued at Rs 1,000 crore, according to officials.

On his 74th birthday, PM Modi received warm wishes from various leaders. Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha praised Modi as a visionary leader and expressed hopes for his continued dynamic leadership. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde wished him good health and a long life, highlighting Modi’s role in driving India towards becoming an economic superpower.

Renowned sand sculptor Sudarsan Pattnaik also extended birthday greetings to PM Modi. Pattnaik, known for his detailed sand art, dedicated a piece to the Prime Minister, celebrating his vision for a developed India.

Born on September 17, 1950, in Mehsana, Gujarat, Narendra Damodardas Modi has risen from modest beginnings to become one of India’s most influential political figures. Serving as Gujarat’s Chief Minister from 2001 to 2014, Modi’s tenure was noted for economic growth and governance reforms. He became Prime Minister of India in 2014 and is currently in his third term.
