In this Lok Sabha election, BJP didn’t gain much from the opposition in the lower turnout seats wresting only five seats from its rivals.
Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu
The Dadra Nagar Haveli constituency was won by BJP by a margin of 57,584 votes which was 28.01 per cent of the total vote cast.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Delkar Mohanbhai Sanjibhai of IND won in this seat defeating Patel Natubhai Gomanbhai of BJP by a margin of 9,001 votes which was 4.52 per cent of the total votes cast for the seat. IND had a vote share of 45.44 per cent in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Natubhai Gomanbhai Patel of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Delkar Mohanbhai Sanjibhai of INC by a margin of 6,214 votes which was 3.76 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 48.88 per cent in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Patel Natubhai Gomanbhai of BJP won this seat beating Delkar Mohanbhai Sanjibhai of INC by a margin of 618 votes which was 0.56 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 46.43 per cent in the seat.
Uttar Pradesh
In the 2024 Lok Sabha Election, the Amroha constituency was won by the BJP with a margin of 28,670 votes which is 2.58 per cent of the total vote cast.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Kunwar Danish Ali of BSP won in this seat defeating Kanwar Singh Tanwar of BJP by a margin of 63,248 votes which was 5.41 per cent of the total votes cast for the seat. BSP had a vote share of 51.39 per cent in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Kanwar Singh Tanwar of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Humera Akhtar of SP by a margin of 1,58,214 votes which was 14.44 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 48.26 per cent in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Devendra Nagpal of RLD won this seat beating Mehboob Ali of SP by a margin of 92,083 votes which was 13.02 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. RLD had a vote share of 40.06 per cent in the seat.
Odisha
In the Jajpur parliamentary seat in Odisha, the BJP won by merely 1,587 votes which is 0.14 per cent of the total vote in 2024.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Sarmistha Sethi of BJD won in this seat defeating Amiya Kanta Mallick of BJP by a margin of 1,01,693 votes which was 9.31 per cent of the total votes cast for the seat. BJD had a vote share of 49.77 per cent in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Rita Tarai of BJD emerged victorious in this seat beating Asok Das of INC by a margin of 3,20,271 votes which was 32.77 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD secured a vote share of 55.38 per cent in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Mohan Jena of BJD won this seat beating Amiya Kanta Mallik of INC by a margin of 1,27,747 votes which was 15.63 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJD had a vote share of 53.02 per cent in the seat.
Bihar
In the Nawada Lok Sabha seat, the BJP won by 67,670 votes which stands out to be 7.78 per cent in vote share.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, Chandan Singh of LJP won in this seat defeating Vibha Devi of RJD by a margin of 1,48,072 votes which was 15.71 per cent of the total votes cast for the seat. LJP had a vote share of 52.47 per cent in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, Giriraj Singh of BJP emerged victorious in this seat beating Raj Ballabh Prasad of RJD by a margin of 1,40,157 votes which was 15.85 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP secured a vote share of 44.12 per cent in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, Bhola Singh of BJP won this seat beating Veena Devi of LJP by a margin of 34,917 votes which was 6 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. BJP had a vote share of 22.46 per cent in the seat.
Kerala
Through the Thrissur Lok Sabha seat in 2024, the BJP made its Kerala debut which it won by a margin of 74,686 votes andthat formed the vote share of 6.85 per cent.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha general elections, TN Prathapan of INC won in this seat defeating Rajaji Mathew Thomas of CPI by a margin of 93,633 votes which was 8.99 per cent of the total votes cast for the seat. INC had a vote share of 39.83 per cent in 2019 in this seat.
In 2014, C N Jayadevan of CPI emerged victorious in this seat beating K P Dhanapalan of INC by a margin of 38,227 votes which was 4.15 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. CPI secured a vote share of 42.28 per cent in the seat.
In the 2009 Lok Sabha elections, PC Chacko of INC won this seat beating CN Jayadevan of CPI by a margin of 25,151 votes which was 3.08 per cent of the total votes polled in the constituency. INC had a vote share of 47.23 per cent in the seat.
