Amul has announced a cut in milk prices by Rs 1 per litre across India. Notably, this comes as a major relief to the people of country. The cooperative giant has reduced the prices of Amul Gold, Amul Taza, and Tea Special. Pertinent to note that the price reduction in Amul milk comes after a long time.
In the recent past, multiple firms hiked the prices of their milk. Amul’s move to reduce the prices is also expected to pressurise the other firms to consider a price reduction.

After this, the price of Amul milk will now be Rs 65 per litre. Moreover, the price of Amul Tea Special will now be Rs 61 per litre.
Similarly, Amul Taza Milk price will stand at Rs 53 per litre against Rs 54 per litre previously.
Amul has not stated the reasons behind this move. However, experts reckon that the decision has been taken in order to extend relief to the consumers, keeping in mind the increasing competition in the market.
