Vishal Agarwal, father of the 17-year-old boy accused in the Pune Porsche crash case, called NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) MLA Sunil Tingre 45 times in about an hour soon after his son was arrested by the police for knocking down two young software engineers with his speeding Porsche Taycan which he was allegedly driving under influence of alcohol.
Sunil Tingre got 45 missed calls from Vishal Agarwal
Police sources to News18 said Tingre received 45 missed calls from Vishal Agarwal, who is a renowned real estate developer, between 2:30 am and 3:45 am on the day of the Pune Porsche accident in Kalyani Nagar on May 19.
Repeated calls were made by Vishal Agarwal till Tingre arrived at Yerwada police station at 3:45 am.
For the unversed, the teen accused in the case was detained by the cops in Yerwada police station ahead of being produced before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) which had granted him bail on certain conditions, including writing a 300-word essay.
Vishal Agarwal rushes to Sunil Tingre’s residence
When his calls went unanswered, Vishal Agarwal rushed to Tingre’s house and after some time, the NCP MLA left for Yerwada Police station where he was there until morning.
What was Sunil Tingre doing in Yerwada jail
Police said Tingre had visited Yerwada jail on May 19. The MLA later told the media that he and the accused’s father are family friends and he had visited the police station to check if the probe was being properly conducted.
“I have known the builder (juvenile’s father) as he was my employer after I passed out from engineering college… However, at no point have I tried to influence the probe,” the MLA from Ajit Pawar faction of NCP said.

The Vadgaon Sheri NCP MLA, last week, in his clarification claimed that he was informed by his workers around 3 am on May 19 of a major accident in his constituency.
Tingre also said an acquaintances informed that his son had met with an accident.
“As a responsible public representative, early yesterday morning I first went to the accident spot and then to the Yerwada police station. I was told there that the police inspector had taken the injured to the hospital. I called him and he told me that he will be back in 15 minutes. After he returned, the police inspector informed me about the sequence of events, Accordingly, I instructed him to take strict action against the guilty and left the station. I put no pressure on the police and, without a doubt, the officials will confirm this,” Tingre had said.

Tingre had already gone on record saying the Agarwal family was his first employer. Now, as per information received, Vishal Agarwal and the NCP MLA’s son were studying in the same school.
