Simran Singh, a popular freelance radio jockey and influencer from Jammu and Kashmir, allegedly committed suicide in her rented house in Sector 47 in Gurugram. The body of the 25-year-old was found hanging in her room on Wednesday night. Now, it has come to light that Simran was going to marry her friend after four months, as per an NBT report, which further stated that Simran had left her job two years ago.
With over seven lakh followers on Instagram, Simran was known by her fans as “Jammu Ki Dhadkan”. The young influencer had also formed a company with her friend, under whose banner ad films and short movies were made. Simran had left the job of radio jockey two years ago. Her team members lived in the third rented flats in the society.
She last posted a reel on December 13. In her last reel on Instagram, she wrote, “Just a girl with endless giggles and her gown, taking over the beach.” Sunil Kumar, SHO of Sadar police station, said that they got information at around 9:30pm on Wednesday by a Simran’s friend who was staying in the same house. A police team reached the spot and found the Simran’s room locked from inside. The team broke open the door of the room and found her hanging, the SHO said.

“The family said that Simran had been facing problems for some time due to which she took this step and did not hold anybody responsible for this,” ANI quoted investigating officer (IO), ASI Pradeep Kumar, Sadar Police Station, Gurugram as saying.
