Akasa Air, India’s commercial airline launched in August 2022, has introduced “QuietFlights” for passengers. This one-of-a-kind initiative has been introduced for travellers flying during early morning and late-night hours.
What is Akasa Air’s ‘QuietFlights’?
1 – ‘QuietFlights’ initiative has been introduced for aircrafts operating between 10 pm to 6 am.
2 – The airline said it will minimise announcement for its flights operating between these hours.
3 – Akasa Air said the announcement will be minimised to essential safety messages and adjust cabin lights.
4 – The airline said the decision has been taken to allow passengers to have “uninterrupted relaxation and privacy.”
“The ‘QuietFlights’ initiative reinforces our commitment to create a comfortable, relaxed and peaceful cabin experience,” Belson Coutinho, Akasa Air’s Co-Founder and Chief Marketing & Experience Officer, said.
“In today’s fast-paced day-to-day lifestyle, QuietFlights has been consciously designed to help passengers unwind with announcements minimised to the essential safety announcements combined with ambient cabin lighting that creates a calming inflight experience,” Coutinho further said.
Akasa Air flights connect 22 domestic and three international destinations, namely Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, Varanasi, Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Port Blair, Ayodhya, Gwalior, Srinagar, Prayagraj, Gorakhpur, Doha (Qatar), Jeddah and Riyadh (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia).
