Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said that the INDIA bloc has “diseases worse than cancer.”
PM Modi’s comments came as he addressed a public rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Shravasti. “The INDI alliance has diseases worse than cancer. They can destroy the whole of India if they spread. Three diseases can be more destructive for the country than cancer. These diseases are, these people are extremely communal, these people are extremely racist, these people are extreme nepotists.”
India has voted for five phases of the Lok Sabha elections with just two more to go. The five phases covered 430 out of 543 seats. The fifth phase recorded 60.48 per cent voter turnout. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh recorded 58.02 per cent turnout.
Highlighting the historical importance of Shravasti, PM Modi said, “Shravasti is rich in history and mythology and tourists from all over the world want to visit this place. The previous governments of SP, BSP and Congress never thought about its development.”
“They were neither concerned about the development of Shravasti nor the heritage of the country. Our government is working to give Shravasti a separate identity on the map of the country,” he added.
The Indian prime minister also claimed that the Opposition would close the 50-crore Jan Dhan accounts opened under the BJP government and take all money.
“Modi opened Jan Dhan accounts for more than 50 crore poor people, they (the Opposition) will close your bank account and snatch away your money,” he said.
