India will enter its fifth phase of polling on May 20 (Monday). The first four phases of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 recorded voter turnouts of 66.14 per cent, 66.71 per cent, 65.68 per cent, and 69.16 per cent respectively.
The fifth phase of the elections will span eight states and Union Territories (UTs) and will cover 49 constituencies. The first phase covered 102 constituencies, the second covered 88, the third covered 94 and the fourth covered 96. The voting process will begin at 7 am and go on till 5 pm. The counting of votes will take place on June 4.
